Gallivanting across Germany and Iceland!

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that NovaCaster and Alanna Harpsong are going to be away for a while. Kaho will likely be lurking somewhere in her native state. We’ve got had a big vacation planed for some time to Europe. And we will be gone for a little over 3 week or there about. Alanna and Nova will be gone from the 16th of September to the 8th of October.

What does this mean for you? Well less art obviously. But more so to those that may have been noodling around with the idea for a commission. If you send an email and we don’t respond to you don’t worry. Chances are we’re reveling in geeky history things or drunk ….

We promise we’ll get to you as soon as possible when were home. We will try to keep an eye on the squid email, but no promises. See you when we get back.

So Alanna did this fantastic picture of Rosalyn as a beer label and I decided that I should make one for myself too! This was amazingly fun to do and I’m really glad I did it. This is Yasmin strutting her mug of Hefeweiße-Dunkel! This bier is brought to you by the wonderful people over at Das Katzenhaus Brauerei! The Official Brewery of Studio Squid Ink*!
 
And now onto the Commission.  This is a commission for DotorDweeb! Looks like Susan and Rhonda got themselves in trouble with the Mistress of Darkness… I wonder how they will get themselves out of this one…  Drawing Elvira was pretty damn fun <.<;

Yes! For all our fans of The Cat House out there, here you go! This is a fully scale-able Dakimakura for of Miyuki! I had a ton of fun working on this picture and I’m really happy with how she turned out on these.

 

Right now we don’t actually have plans to print these en masse, but that doesn’t mean a limited run isn’t doable if the interest in there. Let me know via email if this is something anyone is interested in. It would take some time to get it together, but if we can get at least 10 people wanting to get these for somewhere in the $50 range (although we’ll see), I will look into getting a limited run printed!

Tentacles and Beer! Tentacles and Beer!

So here are a couple of pictures I’ve had in the works. One of the lovely Rosalyn from The Cat House. Originally I had planed to do just a quick pin-up of her in a German dirndl dress. For the spirit of Oktoberfest and because we will be heading out to Germany very soon here. I however did not anticipate the way it morphed into a German style beer label. But it was a fun idea and I ran with it. Which became a lot of fun to work on as it is out of the realm of what I normally do. This in turn inspired Nova to do a label of his own with Yasmin. We’re now playing around with idea of doing more of them with some of the other Cat House characters. But we’ll see.

Gerhard Von Wigglesstein

The second image here is my newest tentacle creation. I introduce to you Gerhard Von Wigglesstein. My gentlemanly Prussian tentacle monster. Yup. I’ve been on a German kick. I’ve also been on a WWI kick because of Sabaton. So this is how this beautiful creation came to be. While I had never considered making myself my own pet tentacle monster, I do believe I have a new pet.
