Hard to believe it’s already a week into December. Yet here we are. Of course as the year comes to a close we look towards what we can do in the next year. For us, one of our hopes is to get the gears really turning again on the dating sim we’ve been at for a few years now. There have been a number of factors that have slowed that down, and halted production all together.

Our third member Kaho, if you’ve been around that long, well life exploded horribly and she had to step away to take care of herself. Then the fucking pandemic happened. To her. (She’s still kicking around, don’t worry ^_~ ) The pandemic happened  to us. There have been some difficult moments with family in the last couple of years for both Nova and I. Well that’s putting it mildly, but we’ve both come out stronger for it.

Commissions. They’ve been wonderful, and we appreciate everyone that has ever commissioned either one of us. Especially those that could and did during the pandemic when times were uncertain for us. However, there have been so many and one big one in particular, that also put a big dent in our time to work on the game.  It’s always been important to the both of us to try and get our commissioners taken care of first, so that makes some things take a back seat in favor of that. Our choice and we wouldn’t do it any other way.

However, Nova and I have both definitely gotten a degree of burnout from it. Nova more so than I. In deciding what we really want to achieve, we really want to do this game. Which means for now, commissions for the both of us are closed. It will be some time before either of us open them again. When we do, we’ll be sure to let you know. They will also be in smaller batches and limited runs so that we can keep from falling into the pit we’ve found ourselves in currently. We do enjoy doing them, but we also really love doing what we do and that’s telling our stories and creating new adventures.

The Cat House Volume 7 RELEASES FRIDAY DECEMBER 23RD EVERYWHERE.

As usual it will be Wednesdays for our wonderful supporters, then everyone else on Friday until we run out of pages. Going to be a long one. Two new characters this volume!

Patreon $10 supporters will get a digital copy of the comic when it’s complete. Always long before we finish releasing. But it’ll also go up on our Gumroad store when it’s done too.

$1 and up of course get to vote on our pinups every month.

Updates and news! It’s been a while. It’s hard to imagine how much time has passed so quickly since the last one of these. Been a lot of things going on behind the scenes. Those who probably get the most updates are our lovely Patreons and those who chill with us in Discord.

 

First we finished a commission that we started back in 2020 when the pandemic was starting to really take off. A short bondage comic, the one we’ve been posting, Sarah’s Favorite Session. For Auproma on our Discord server. You may have also found him floating around our live streams on Picarto as TheNorm. While it was a great commission to do, and it was wonderful to show a loving relationship, and consent on the side of all things bondage. It did slow us down a bit more than we anticipated, along with everything the last two years have thrown at us. But we’re really glad to have done it and for it to finally have found the light of day. We’ve been excited to share it, but we didn’t want it to go on with long waits between pages. So this is why it’s only being released just now. If you’re interested in any more of his works, he has a short novella and his first full length novel over on amazon. Self published, way to go man. You can find him if you search Norman Luce.

 

Life this year (and last) has tossed us some not so great and difficult moments at us. But there have also been some wonderful changes for us too. Some that hopefully will help with being able to work on the comics and game more. Our art in general. We took a much longer break from doing comic pages from The Cat House than we usually would have. The burn out was pretty real for the both of us. Especially Nova. It’s been a struggle to get our footing back, and to be in a good place mentally to do good work. We have now, since September been getting the comic rolling again. After a bit of discussion, we’ve finally settled on a date to begin releasing Volume 7. As promised it would be this year, and just in time for Christmas too! We will begin releasing pages again starting Friday December 23rd. We will release pages every Friday to everyone until we run out again. This should give us enough of a lead to be able to keep up with our weekly release schedule. For Patreons on the 21st.

The visual novel/dating sim we’ve been attempting to make, certainly took the hardest hit productivity wise over the last couple of years. We’re still working on it. Some of the problem may be that we were very ambitious for two people. So while we have no notion of quitting, we are looking at strategies to be able to bring the game to life quicker, so it’s figuring out how to scale some things back, with the full notion to release updated content, or new avenues at later dates once we have a base game down. Still much to plan and recalculate. This is only an update to how the game is progressing so that you know what’s going on. We are not looking for additional help.

 

As for commissions, at the beginning of January we’re going to give a small bump to commission prices again. Nothing like the bump we gave it last year, but a little to put us gradually closer to where we want to be at. So if you want to get one before they go up, before the first of the New Year. Nova is currently closed for commissions and there is no ETA for when he’s going to be open. He is taking a break from commissions to help with the burn out he’s been experiencing. WHEN he is ready, he will announce when they are open. You exceptions out there know who you are. Otherwise I (Alanna) am still open for commissions. So I’m your best bet if you’re interested in one currently.

 

We still stream art live, at least once most weeks. It’s another great way to chat with us and find out what’s going on. Usually Saturday mornings MTN time, but sometimes Sunday mornings instead. You can find us over on Picarto.

It’s been a hot minute since we had some news and updates. On the one hand, it’s hard to believe how much time has passed so quickly since the last one. A lot has been going on behind the scenes.

For some time we’ve had a project we’ve been working on in secret. A commission that we started in early 2020 during early pandemic times. A gentleman approached us about doing a short bondage comic with some of his original characters. Wanting more than just some good spanking fun, he wanted to show a side that often gets overlooked in porn. The set up and consent between a loving set of partners. So on board with the idea and with a little bit of planing we decided to roll ahead with him on this one. We’ve finally reach a point where we can regularly release pages. The comic itself is done. Pages are being released on Mondays to Patreon and SubscribeStar. Wednesdays for everyone else.We just released page 3 today and there are 16 total.

We chose Monday/Wednesday for the fact that we’re about to hit full steam ahead on Volume 7 of The Cat House. While not a long comic, it will run into our release of the next volume of The Cat House. Volume 7 will release this year. Still not positive on what the release date will be yet. Still have some work to get done first before we’re in a good position to be able to release a page a week.

But hopefully with some of the changes that have happened for us this year on the personal front, will make for an easier time this time around with the comic. As well as hopefully more content a bit more regularly now that the commission is over. Boy do comics take a lot of time even when they’re short.

It’s been a little bit since we did an official update about anything. The last few months have been hectic in one way or another. A lot of changes for us. Though those are looking largely like all for the better. I (Alanna) have made a switch job wise, that should open up a lot more free time for me. Which means more time for art, comics, writing and game design, with out the burnout. A few other changes have made for some reduction in stress for the both of us. Nothing that you’ll notice, other than perhaps an up tick in art and content. Or at least that is the hope.

Volume 6 of The Cat House is done. It is up for sale on our Gumroad store for purchase with all the others.

Back from Vacation

Back from Vacation

and some creepy things.

Well we’ve been back from vacation for a couple of weeks now. Funny, it feels like we just got back. But we’re finally rolling full steam again. Well… more or less. While we may have been away, we did find some time for art. Just traditional on my(Alanna) part.

I added to my creepy things collection. All traditional like the others. Mostly graphite, and some colored pencils.

I’ve taken to giving them fairly normal names, because it somehow makes them creepier, to me at least.

The doll, because dolls are always creepy, is Cosette. My dear, please put your head back on. Then there’s Edgar. Nova was quite surprised that I rocked anything spider like in the first place, because I just don’t do spiders. Lastly our little friend with the meat cleaver, that’s Albert. He’s my favorite of the bunch.

 

Nova’s updated his WWII in Chibi, chibis. He’ll get around to those eventually. And we both did a number of paper children. We’ll post those sometime soon here. For now. Enjoy some creepy things.

On Vacation

On Vacation

Small pause on things.

So Nova and I are going on a long over due vacation. We’ll be out the first two weeks of March. During that time, we won’t be streaming or posting pages of The Cat House on Fridays. We will resume our normal operations once we return. Pages that would have been posted while we’re gone will be caught up once we’re back.

If you’re on Patreon or SubscribeStar, things will maintain as normal while we’re gone. But otherwise, we’re taking a much needed break.
