Some more news. Studio Squid Ink has an official merch store now! We’ve set up on Teespring. Because who doesn’t love T-shirts, mugs and more! We certainly have a closet full of band shirts that speak to that sentiment, among other things.

Want to drink your coffee out of a mug with Nova’s Coffee-chan? Now you can! Or you can even take it with you in a travel tumbler. She doesn’t mind if you put tea in her either. Get styling with our WWII in Chibi t-shirts. Winter is coming … we have sweat shirts too.

The Military Unicorn

Oddities of the Great War

The arrival and imminent assault of the Military Unicorn on the unsuspecting Russians

So there is in fact a story behind this picture.  A couple of years ago, our good friend DoctorDweeb sent us a book.  The book is titled “Military Uniforms” and is a visual encyclopedia of various military uniforms from all over the world at different time periods. 

One morning, Alanna was staring at out bookshelf.  Her glasses were off and she had recently woken up.  She turns and asks me “Ummm… Why do we have a book on Military Unicorns?”  I thought the idea of a military unicorn was hilarious and therefore I decided to draw it!  So one night at work, I sketched it out.  It was a World War 2 based image with a girl riding the back of a unicorn which was in full US military regalia.  I never colored it, and after a while I kinda forgot about it.

This brings us to present day.  Alanna started asking if I would ever color it.  So one day on a stream, she came up with the brilliant idea to make the Military Unicorn into a Centaur.  This is the result of that endeavor!

As you can see, I also tagged on the original sketch of the first Military Unicorn there at the end.

The image is based on a famous WW1 picture of a German Lancer on the Eastern Front against the Russians.  The absurdity of the original picture, and the fact that it was a real unit in the Great War, made it perfect to make a Centaur out of.  While I was drawing it I decided that I wanted it to have multiple versions.  So we’ve got an assortment of heads and of course a topless version ;).

The Cat House

The Cat House!

That’s right!  After a long wait between volumes, The Cat House is back with Volume 3!  We will be releasing a page every Friday until the volume ends!  However, that’s not all the news we have involving The Cat House!  If all goes according to our plan, we are going to try to just keep releasing pages after Volume 3 is finished.  We already have a good head start on volume 4 and if we are able to keep the pace, we’re going to try to just keep going into volume 4 with minimal if any down time!

The Studio

Now that our trip is over, we will be back at it full pace here!  If you would like to see a mild photo log of our trip, join us on Discord!  We are always fairly active over at our channel there, so if communicating with the artists behind the work you like is something you like doing, come join us!  We don’t bite… much.

Alanna and I have also just finished putting together the official Studio Squid Ink work space!  Not that all of us work here all the time since Kaho doesn’t in fact live locked in our basement <.< (Or does she!?).  I also often work while I’m at… well… work.  However this is absolutely at least Alanna and I’s primary creative space now that It’s finished!  You can see a picture above of the finished studio!  For now I think that covers the major updates to the studio!  As always feel free to leave comments anywhere we can be followed!

So Alanna did this fantastic picture of Rosalyn as a beer label and I decided that I should make one for myself too! This was amazingly fun to do and I’m really glad I did it. Yes! For all our fans of The Cat House out there, here you go! This is a fully scale-able Dakimakura for of Miyuki! I had a ton of fun working on this picture and I’m really happy with how she turned out on these.

 

Right now we don’t actually have plans to print these en masse, but that doesn’t mean a limited run isn’t doable if the interest in there. Let me know via email if this is something anyone is interested in. It would take some time to get it together, but if we can get at least 10 people wanting to get these for somewhere in the $50 range (although we’ll see), I will look into getting a limited run printed!

As Lyssa pulled the cord on her chute, she was distinctly aware of Dickins sliding his tentacles out of the space between her pack and the small of her back where he had somehow managed to tuck himself away. She has pulled the cord early just to get the most out of the decent. As his tentacles slid across her skin it sent tingles up her spine. Then she felt a tentacle slide into her and that was the start of the real fun…

Hey everyone! Its been a while since I drew a picture of Lyssa and Dickins! So I honestly am only partially sure how I came up with this insane idea, but here’s the gist of it. I was thinking “what insane thing can I have Lyssa and Dickins doing for their triumphant return to my pages? I should do something really insane like that roller coaster image Erotibot did a while back…” Then this came into my head. So I’m pretty sure the idea of sex in crazy impossible locations brought on by the fantastic Erotibot is the sole reason for my coming up with this insanity lol. Thanks man!

That Man Needs Coffee!

That Man Needs Coffee!

Delivered in the most absurd way possible!

As you feel yourself slipping into s deliriously tired state, a roar of an engine jolts you awake. Your coffee mug, which had sat empty for far too long is suddenly hit with a blast of fresh, piping hot coffee and just the right amount of cream! As you look up, you see one of the more confusing sights to meet your eyes… A cute girl salutes your from the top of the most ridiculous tank you’ve ever seen. “Hi there! I’m Coffee-chan! Here’s more go juice for you!” She says as the tank rolls on past. You blink a few times and then wonder just how little sleep you must have gotten to be hallucinating this badly first thing in the morning.

That Man Needs Coffee!

Hilarious Insanity.  That’s what this image is.  So The story behind this is that myself, Alanna, and 2 of our good friends were in the stream chat talking as Alanna and I were drawing (You can follow our streams on picarto.tv here!) and the idea came up that we should design characters based on coffee.  We decided to call it Coffee-chan.  So we both came up with some pictures for it.

My version of Coffee-chan (of which this is the second iteration because I didn’t like the first one) Has a lot of possibly subtle tie-ins to coffee.  Starting her her hair.  I wanted the color to be similar to the way espresso looks when its brewed.  So I have the dark color at the bottom transitioning to the light at the top.  The hat, adorned with her adorable Coffee-chan logo, is topped with whipped cream.

Moving on the the more ridiculous part of the picture… The tank:  the chassis is a German Panther Ausf. D from World War 2.  The turret is also based on that same design but obviously heavily modified.  The coffee grinder on the back is crank operated by the commander with that handle next to the hatch.  The tracks are made of stirring sticks, and the accessories include of course a sugar spoon, and a pair of sugar cube tongs.  The cannon fires a constant stream of coffee witch has a spray of cream added in from the small launcher underneath.  Last but not least, the tanks number had to be 42.  Because surly the only true question to the answer to Life the Universe and Everything has to be coffee.

New NSFW Commissions!

Plus a game update, because I can!

Hey there everyone!  So today I have 2 new commissions that I just got finished up and ready to post!  Both of these were finished on the same day, in the same stream!  If you want to join in on the streams, you can follow me on Picarto.tv here!

As for the two new commissions I’m posting: the first is a commission for Downunder104 on deviantArt of his lovely jungle girl.  Se does seem to have gotten herself into quite a bit of trouble though!

The Second Commission is for my good friend DoctorDweeb.  Looks like Kari has had a rather successful experiment!  If the desired experiment was a fun loving tentacle monster that is!  It at least appears that if that wasn’t the intention… She doesn’t really mind that much.

As for the game update, it’s short, but we have made some significant progress!  We now have 2 fully completed character models and 2 more well on their way to being completed!  Alanna has also been writing like crazy and has done an absolutely massive amount on the games scripts so far.  There’s tons left to do, but the progress has been substantial!  More updates to come, stay tuned!

Hey there everyone!  So this is a post that has a few special things in it.  Some of you may have already seen the picture posted below of the Warhammer 40k Inquisitor, but I wanted to post it here on Alanna’s birthday!  Today is that day!  So happy birthday to my dear wife!  She is also planning on getting this picture tattooed here in the very near future on her calf, so we will end up posting a picture of the finished tattoo once its done!

Introducing my new Succubus Original Character

This is my New OC Xyssia.  Some of you may have already seen this as I’ve been working on it while streaming on Picarto for a while now,  but here’s the finished character sheet!
 
So Xyssia will be kind of a fluid character who moves around my different stories and worlds fluidly.  Basically this is an excuse to have her gain the ability to fuck literally any character I have and not have it be weird. <.<; Hey at least I’m honest about my janky reasoning.  She has a few abilities that make her task (i.e. having lots of sex in order to sustain her energy) easier.  Her skin tone, and hair color can shift to suit the desires of her intended target, although she is unable to change her eye color.  The same is true of her boobs and to a lesser extent, her body shape.  She is however unable to adjust her height at all.  That stays at a fixed 5’6″ tall.  Her wings are generally the size shown here unless she is flying, or extremely angry.  Then they grow to a much larger size.  Her tattoo on her back also acts as a sexual energy gauge…  This has a drawback as she can’t actually see it without a mirror or paying attention to how the glow it casts is reacting on whatever happens to be behind her.  This should cause some pretty fun scenes depending on what i end up doing with her as a character.  (This was also entirely Alanna’s idea and its a fantastic one XD.)

So About Xyssia.  Shes, playful, seductive (obviously, being a succubus kinda makes that obvious), somewhat headstrong, and insanely lazy.  She tends to wait till shes almost completely depleted her sexual energy stores before going on a total sex bender to refuel herself.  This should also lead to some fun stuff depending on what I do with her.
 
So what AM I going to do with her…?  In truth, I’m not entirely sure yet other than one shot pictures.  I would eventually like to make her have a mini-comic that I can mess with, but as I have yet to actually have time to do that with Lyssa and Dickins, and since I have both The Cat House and the Cat House Visual Novel to work on, chances are she’ll just randomly show up in sexy pictures for a while.  But those should be some fun sexy pictures at any rate 😉
