More Big Commission Pictures

Hey all.  So these 9 pictures are all from the big commission that I’ve been working on for a while now.  All are very new and some haven’t even been posted on other sites just yet.  The shower silhouette probably will only be posted here actually.  So That one at least will most likely be a studiosquidink.net exclusive.  

As for an update about things as a whole.  The commission is very close to wrapping up.  Once that happens you can expect to see a lot more personal stuff including Cat House, Lyssa and Dickins, and a new character that I’ve been designing for fun that will kinda bounce between all of my stories as a traveling character.  So look forward to that once I post the Character Sheet that I’ve been working on.  Anyone who’s joined us on picarto.tv has likely already seen her since I’ve been working on her in the last couple streams.  Anyway, that’s all for now!  Take care all and enjoy the art!

New Fate Fanart And Comms

Fate Fan Art and New Commissions

Took some time to finish a hot picture of Rin Tohsaka and Lancer!

Hey everyone!

So this is a unique post from me in that its only the 2nd time I’ve ever done fan art.  Last time was my picture of Rem from Re: Zero.  This time of course, we have one of my all time favorite anime characters, Rin Tohsaka from Fate/Stay Night having a little fun with Lancer (A fun pairing that I’ve always enjoyed).  Fate has long stood as one of my favorite series, but I haven’t gotten into Grand Order much (although i continue to love the character designs) simply due to the fact that I almost never play mobile games.  So Rin and Saber still stand as my favorite two heroins from this series.

A Day in the Countryside

In German Occupied Croatia During World War 2

So this picture is another historical pinup obviously.  It depicts the 13th Waffen SS Handscher mountain division 1st Croatian.  They were an interesting branch of the German army due tot he fact that they were heavily Muslim.  Kinda a little known part of World War 2 history.  To be quite honest, as much of a history nerd as I am, I had no idea this was even a thing until DoctorDweeb came to be and asked me to do the commission.  The fez was actually part of the uniform, although the red one depicted was more for dress ceremony than use in the field (for obvious reasons…. Wearing a bright red target on the top of your head in combat is…. questionably wise…).  In reality, they would have been wearing a Feldgrau (or field gray) fez to match the rest of the uniform.  They had a number of vehicles at their disposal, but the Sd. Kzf. 221 Maschinengewehr (The machine gun variant) was one of them.  It was armed with a single MG34 and had a 2 man crew.  It also happened to be 4 wheel drive.  Anyway, there ya go!  History!

Hey all.  So this is a commission for DoctorDweeb!  This one has been a long time coming.  I had a catastrophic crash in the middle of the first iteration and the file got corrupted.  So This is a total of about 30 hours worth of work due to losing 8 of those to the crash.  However…. It’s DONE!  Enjoy everyone!

Cat House Visual Novel Update

Some info on the visual novel based on The Cat House

Hey there everyone.  NovaCaster Here.  I wanted to give people a more solid idea of that were working on here since up until now we’ve only given out some basic information. 

Some basic Frequently asked questions!

Q:  What is the visual novel going to be about?
A:  The game will center on The Holstrom manor (William’s house in The Cat House) and all of its insane inhabitants.  The player will be able to date 8 different characters.

Q:  What is The Cat House?
A:  The Cat House is a hentai manga that Alanna and I have completed 2 volumes of.  The 3rd volume is under production currently and will be released before the game.  You can check it out by following the link in this answer, or checking out our gallery for it in the menu.

Q:  What sex will the Player Character be?
A:  You will have a choice of either male or female.

Q:  Wait… So I can play both?  Can I go after girls for some hot yuri action if I’m playing a female PC?
A:  Yes!  Or if you prefer a little guy on guy, you can go that route too. Or play both sides of the field. 

Q:  Is this game going to be available on Steam?
A:  Yes!  That is the current plan anyway!  Since Steam now allows full adult content, it shouldn’t be a problem to get it on there.

Q:  So how much replay value will this game have?
A:  We are currently looking at having 32 different unique endings!  So hopefully plenty!  Alanna has been hard at work writing the scripts.  So far we aren’t remotely close to finished with them, but they are coming along very well.

As far as other information about the games progress, we have absolutely no idea what were looking at with a release date yet.  This is still very much in its early development stages.  We have no programming done at all yet since we have to have some image content to work with before we can do any. 

We will be using Visual Novel Maker as our platform for the games creation.  I’ve already gotten quite comfortable with it in a test game I made as a proof of concept.  So I know all of the ideas we’re incorporating into the script should be easy to do from a programming perspective.  

Pretty much the first step before we start actually putting the game together is getting the character model assets to at least a working state.  That has been our project first and foremost since they’re the most interactive part of any visual novel.  If you want to see how they’re coming along, join us in any of our streams!  We’ll be posting stream times in the event calendar on the main page as well as announcing them elsewhere!  You can follow our picarto.tv pages here to get email notifications of when a stream starts!

Welcome To Studio Squid Ink.net!

This group of misfits has a freakin’ website!

Hi there everyone!  NovaCaster here.  I’m one of the artists of Studio Squid Ink and this is the official lauch post of studiosquidink.net!  For a while now we’ve been looking at getting a page made up in order to support all of the art that we do, to have all of the content we produce in one place, and to be able in general to keep our fans more up to date on current squid based events.

All of the future volumes of The Cat House will be posted here as well as all of the art that we do in general.  This will also be the best way for people to keep up with development of the big project we announced a few weeks ago live on picarto.tv as we did a full studio livestream.  If you missed the big announcement, Studio Squid Ink is making a freakin’ game!  We are currently developing a Visual Novel based on The Cat House That is featuring Alanna’s brilliantly comedic but also fun and sexy writing style along with my art style and added images from Alanna as well.  If you’re a Cat House fan, you should be excited to see what we’re cooking up for this thing.  We’re really excited about it and we hope that rolls over to all of you. There is a long way to go on it still. We hope you’ll stick around for the journey.

On another note, we wanted to officially introduce all of you to Kaho, our resident cat herder and all around super helpful member of the studio.  She will be interacting with you all quite a bit as she is kind of our social media guru as well as helping with writing, art, and planning for the game!  Kaho is an invaluable part of our team and we hope you all grow to adore her like we do.

Keep your eyes out for commission sales in the near future as I will be launching some that for the first time ever include me offering fan art.  I will announce the sale here as well as on all my other social media sites when the time comes!  Follow our RSS feed for the fastest possible notification about the sale.
